Mercosur: Confindustria launches a series of webinars to prepare businesses for the Argentine and Brazilian markets

Five sector-specific events will support businesses in the run-up to the Confindustria System’s Business Mission, scheduled for 7–11 September. The focus will be on the agri-food, energy, digital, pharmaceutical and mechanical engineering sectors.

Confindustria launches the series of sector-specific webinars “Mercosur Route: looking ahead to the September mission to Argentina and Brazil“, a programme aimed at Italian businesses to explore opportunities, market trends and operational tools in the run-up to the System-wide Business Mission scheduled for 7–11 September 2026.

The initiative aims primarily to help small and medium-sized enterprises understand the dynamics of the markets in Argentina and Brazil, two economies that are set to play an increasingly strategic role in Italy’s internationalisation and exports.

Towards Confindustria’s mission to Argentina and Brazil

The mission, led by the President Emanuele Orsini, will stop off in Buenos Aires (7–8 September), São Paulo (9–10 September) and Brasília (11 September), with the aim of strengthening economic and industrial relations and creating new business opportunities for Italian companies.

To support this initiative, Confindustria is organising five webinars in collaboration with ICE-Agenzia and with the support of five federations and fourteen trade associations.

Mercosur and new opportunities for Italian exports

This initiative comes at a particularly significant time for Italian businesses. With the launch of the implementation of the EU–Mercosur Agreement, which entered into force on 1 May 2026, In fact, the prospects for access to markets in the region are improving thanks to the gradual reduction of tariff and non-tariff barriers.

This therefore opens up a significant window of opportunity for Italian businesses in a large market, with potential benefits in terms of competitiveness, exports and industrial integration.
