Next 2 July, at the Luiss Guido Carli University, Rome, the’Annual Meeting 2026 of Confindustria Overseas Businesses Technical Group, an event dedicated to fostering dialogue between institutions, businesses, regional authorities and the Confindustria network on the conditions needed to strengthen Italy’s ability to attract, support and consolidate high-quality foreign investment.

Entitled “Attractive destinations. Regions, businesses and institutions working to consolidate foreign investment”, the initiative is organised in collaboration with the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and with ICE-Agency. During the event, the 2026 Annual Report of the Foreign Business Observatory (Luiss/Confindustria), which focuses on the contribution made by foreign-owned companies to growth, innovation, exports, skilled employment and regional development.

Drawing on the findings of the Report, the discussion will explore the role of local areas as crucial ecosystems for attracting investment: places where production chains, skills, infrastructure, investor services and implementation capacity can transform the attraction of new projects into a stable manufacturing presence, growth and value for the country.
