Innovation Hackathon is the National Festival competition of ideas InnovAtions promoted by Confindustria Abruzzo Middle Adriatica hands-on experience that puts students and companies at the same table to transform real problems into innovative solutions. Each edition involves 3 member companies, who bring concrete cases to work on during the event.
Participation is open to university students of all Italian universities (any degree course and year), with a maximum of 72 participants selected. The boys are then organised into 9 heterogeneous and multidisciplinary teams, to simulate a real business environment and encourage the meeting of different skills.
The format is developed in four moments: launch of the challenges by the companies, composition of the teams, design work and final pitch. Each team presents its proposal in English (5 minutes), with materials in PowerPoint/Canva and a short introductory abstract in Italian.
From the next edition (2026) the Hackathon will also be open to students ITS, who will work together with universities: a further step to strengthen the bridge between technical training, talent and business needs.
