STEM IN ACTION is the Unindustria project that brings STEM orientation directly into schools of all levels, through meetings with female role models. The aim is simple and concrete: to help students discover the opportunities of technical and scientific professions, overcoming stereotypes and preconceptions that often influence study choices.
The format puts people at the centre: women managers and entrepreneurs They tell first-hand accounts of their own life, studies and work, explaining what it means to work in highly technological and innovative contexts today. They meet classes during the school year, share doubts, choices and skills that really make a difference.
An added value of the project is the variety of profiles involved: role models with STEM backgrounds and role models with humanities backgrounds who nevertheless work in highly innovative sectors, to show that “tech” careers are multidisciplinary and accessible from different avenues.
