On 13 April, the Chamber of Deputies approved, at first reading and with amendments, the DDL for the conversion into law of Decree-Law No. 17 of 1 March 2022, containing urgent measures for the containment of electricity and natural gas costs, for the development of renewable energies and for the relaunch of industrial policies (the so-called Energy Decree 1), on which the Government had placed a confidence question.

The measure, transmitted to the Senate, was finally approved on 21 April.
