The paper provides an updated overview of Confindustria's position on the European Commission's proposal for cohesion policy in the next programming cycle 2028-2034. The paper describes the main critical issues, related to the reduction of resources for cohesion policy and the increased centralisation of governance. In this regard, Confindustria's proposals to ensure continuity of investments and safeguard territorial balance are highlighted. These will also be discussed with MEPs who are preparing to negotiate the proposal.
