Presidents and Sherpas

In his role at CBI, Sean is responsible for overseeing the EU-UK relationship following the agreement of the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) with emphasis on ensuring full implementation, as well as building bilateral relations with EU member states.

Sean is the first Chair of the UK Domestic Advisory Group (DAG), the civil society consultative body set out under the TCA.

Sean also leads several EU policy campaigns of strategic importance for UK business, including on trade, climate change, services and digitalisation.

He is also responsible for coordinating the CBI’s international activities and its membership of BusinessEurope, the B7 and B20 (the business versions of the G7 and G20) as well as BIAC – Business at the OECD.
