The Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) published the new calls of the LIFE Programme, the only one specifically dedicated to the environment and climate action.
The «Circular Economy and Quality of Life» sub-programme» aims to develop and disseminate innovative solutions to implement EU environmental policies, with the objective of fostering the transition to a sustainable, efficient and climate resilient economy.
The sub-programme includes the following calls:
- LIFE-2026-SAP-ENV-ENVIRONMENT - Circular Economy and Zero PollutionIt funds innovative projects that promote the transition to a circular economy and the reduction of pollution in all its aspects (waste management, air, water, soil, etc.).
- LIFE-2026-SAP-ENV-GOV - Environmental Governance: supports initiatives that improve environmental governance by strengthening the implementation of EU legislation and promoting the involvement of citizens and stakeholders (e.g. on issues such as water management and air quality).
Each project proposal under the call must relate to only one of these topics. Applicants wishing to apply for more than one topic must submit a separate proposal for each one.
The total budget is EUR 85 500 000.
The deadline for submitting proposals is 22 September 2026, 17:00 (Brussels).
