The Italian aerospace industry represents a complete chain of excellence, characterised by highly specialised production and a constant commitment to technological innovation.
With a total turnover of more than EUR 18 billion, of which about 10% is earmarked for R&D projects, the sector confirms itself as an enabling platform for creating industrial development, new technological skills and growth for our country and the territories in which the companies operate.
In this context, however, the Civil Aeronautics segment presents some significant criticalities, including mono-commissioning and fragmentation of the supply chain, the absence of a national plan for enabling technologies, and professional training that is not always aligned with the needs of the sector.
This document proposes actions to overcome these challenges, preserving the competitiveness and strategic value of a national high-tech manufacturing sector that is fundamental for the country system.
