G7 Industry Stakeholders Conference - Leaving no one behind: Industry for Development

Building on the Apulia G7 Declaration, and on the B7 Final Declaration of 17 May 2024, the 5^th G7 Industry Stakeholder Conference scheduled on 22 October in Pescara emphasizes the pivotal role of business in ensuring that development cooperation Leaves No One Behind. In the occasion of the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Development its overall aim is further connecting the private and public sectors, in a spirit of equitable and strategic partnership, to address the intertwined crises exacerbated by climate change, geopolitical tensions, and economic instability to deliver sustainable development.

G7 businesses have a unique opportunity to foster positive change in Developing Countries and contribute significantly to their sustainable development and prosperity and stand ready to engage with African and Developing Countries partners in the renewed cooperation framework established by the G7 and its multiple avenues and initiatives to make a step-change for the benefit of all.

G7 businesses can notably support African and other Developing countries across geographies to achieve durable, sustainable, and healthy development through enhanced collaboration, targeted investments, knowledge and technology-sharing, maximizing the impact of the deployed resources, raising local expertise, strengthening capacity building and establishing long lasting beneficial partnerships.
