This Department protects the interests and specific values of small enterprises with the aim of fostering their growth and progress and enhancing their role as drivers of economic, social, and civic development in the country.

It contributes, through its proposals, to the achievement of the confederal mission, namely, the promotion of increasingly innovative, internationalized, sustainable, and competitive enterprises.

With the same purpose, it plans and implements initiatives aimed at maintaining a constant relationship with institutions, the public opinion and other national and international stakeholders. It promotes aggregation, cooperation, and business networking.

At the national level, coordination is entrusted to the Presidency Council and the Central Council, which serve as propositional, directional, and coordinating bodies for Small Industry. Management of the bodies and dissemination of information to local and regional committees are entrusted to the National Secretariat.
