Financial Affairs

This Department oversees matters related to the businesses’ access to bank credit and to financial and capital markets.

It promotes dialogue between banks and businesses whilst favoring bank guarantees and other instruments that facilitate access to credit. It supports the growth and rebalancing of the financial structure of businesses by promoting capitalization and the use of alternative financial instruments other than the banking channel.

It monitors the evolution of national and supranational regulations in the financial sector. In particular, it keeps track of the development of payment-related rules, collaborating with various stakeholders to facilitate transactions between businesses, between businesses and the Public Administration, and between businesses and consumers.

Furthermore, it specifically deals with sustainable finance, promoting actions aimed at facilitating businesses' transition and their sustainability disclosure to the financial system.
