The Central Council of Small Industry elected today Fausto BianchiPresident of Unindustria Latina, leading the Small Industry of Confindustria for the four-year period 2025-2029. He succeeds the previous governance as sole candidate, following the retirement of Pasquale Lampugnale, and joins the President's team Emanuele Orsini such as Vice President by Confindustria.
Who is Fausto Bianchi: the profile of the new president
A second-generation entrepreneur, 49 years old, Bianchi leads the Bianchi Insurance Group, a company active in consulting and risk management. He is also Managing Director and partner of Blue Shield Technology, a company engaged in the development of solutions for the blue economy. A graduate in Business Economics and Management, he has gained long association experience within the confederal system, holding numerous positions in Unindustria, Small Industry and Young Entrepreneurs.
Priorities for Small Industry
In his speech, the new President stressed the centrality of Small Industry such as 'lynchpin of the Italian production system', emphasising the need to accompany companies in economic and technological transitions and to support dimensional growth: 'From micro to small, from small to medium and hopefully from medium to large'.
Bianchi then recalled the importance of constant institutional confrontation and reiterated that Piccola Industria will bring 'a clear voice on the needs of SMEs, demanding coherence, simplicity and stability in industrial, fiscal and energy policies'.
A new business cycle for SMEs
With his election, a new path dedicated to strengthening the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in the competitiveness of the country and the positioning of Italian industry in Europe begins.
