He obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics at the University of Bari and then a Master's degree in Innovation and Technology Management at Tecnopolis, Science and Technology Park in Bari.
He is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of TIM. Confirmed at the top of the Group for the second consecutive term, since April 2024 he is also a member of the Sustainability Committee.
Before joining the TIM Group, he worked at Infostrada since 1996, as business development director and later in marketing. Previously he worked at Boston Consulting Group, Cable&Wireless and France Telecom.
He has been with the TIM Group since 2001, holding positions of increasing responsibility in Marketing for the business and consumer segments of fixed and mobile telephone services. Furthermore, in 2006 he was appointed Managing Director of Matrix and in 2013 he assumed responsibility for the Business Transformation function.
He has led TIM in Brazil since 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and from 2019 as CEO. He drives the Group's growth and consolidates its development path with the acquisition of Oi and 5G licences, making a decisive contribution to the digital development of one of the most vital countries.
In 2023 he was awarded the Ordem do Rio Branco, an honour granted by the Brazilian government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for TIM's important role in strengthening ties between the two nations. In the same year he received the Best CEO-Small&Mid Cap award from Institutional Investor and the Rio Leaders Award, the main recognition given by Lide, the Brazilian association that brings together entrepreneurs and managers in the South American country.
He is a member of the board of the GSMA, the association that brings together mobile network operators from all over the world, and of the General Council of Confindustria where, since May 2024, he has been in charge of Digital Transition.
