Small Industry
Piccola Industria safeguards the interests and specific values of smaller enterprises with the aim of fostering their growth and progress and enhancing their role as a player in the economic, social and civil development of the country. It contributes, in its role of proposal, to the realisation of the confederal mission for the establishment of increasingly innovative, internationalised, sustainable and competitive companies.

Constantly liaises with institutions, public opinion and other national and international stakeholders. It promotes the processes of aggregation, collaboration and business networks.
At national level, coordination is entrusted to the President's Council and the Central Council, bodies with the function of proposing, directing and coordinating Piccola Industria. The management of the bodies and the dissemination of information to the Territorial and Regional Committees is entrusted to the National Secretariat.
Governance
The governing bodies of Piccola Industria, at national level, are the Presidency Council and the Central Council and may draw on the support of a Scientific Advisory Committee for the in-depth study of specific topics and proposals.

Central Council
The Central Council is the decision-making body of Piccola Industria. Its members are: the incumbent President, his predecessor, the Vice-Presidents and, proportionally, the representatives of the Regional Piccola Industria Committees, as well as three entrepreneurs chosen by the President from among the most representative entrepreneurs.

Scientific Advisory Board
Piccola Industria, in implementation of its Regulations and in synergy with the Confindustria Research Centre, has a Scientific Advisory Committee to support the development and definition of ideas, initiatives and proposals to strengthen SMEs.
