Risk prevention and management in SMEs
The Emergency Management Programme (EMP) aims to promote the culture of risk prevention and management in SMEs and local institutions and to support businesses and communities in coping with the emergency phases following a natural disaster.
The PGE can count on a structured collaboration over time with the National Civil Protection Department (DPC) thanks to the partnership formalised in a Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2016 and renewed subsequently. The agreement - recognised by the UN as an international public-private best practice - aims to respond effectively to emergencies by supporting, in particular, business continuity, and promoting widespread awareness in the country of prevention, preparedness and risk management capacity.
The various actions of the PGE - coordinated by Piccola Industria Confindustria and operating through a retand territorial and sectoral representatives of the Association System - consist of:
- coordinated emergency support to support business continuity and, through the DPC, the needs of the community;
- promotion of the culture of safety and resilience in businesses and communities, including through events, initiatives and projects;
- definition of policy proposals to support the securing of enterprises and territories
