The Sustainable Economy Forum is back.
On 15 April the event by Confindustria and San Patrignano for an economy that is more attentive to the future of the planet
Rome, 9 April 2025 - Building an economy that favours the growth of the country and the wellbeing of people, in order to face the challenges arising from the international crisis and those related to European competitiveness. With this objective, San Patrignano and Confindustria, on 15 April 2025, will once again give life within the community to the Sustainable Economy Forumfor seven years now, an important opportunity for reflection and sharing experiences on the key issues of sustainability and responsibility.
Opening the day Letizia Moratti Co-founder of the San Patrignano Foundation, Emanuele OrsiniPresident of Confindustria, and Michele de Pascale President of the Emilia Romagna Region.
Three major interventions: Anna Maria BerniniMinister of Universities and Research, Claudio Descalzi CEO of ENI and Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Industry, Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the Single Market.
In the first panel discussion on 'People and Skills', speakers will include Maria Anghileri, President of Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs, Daniela FumarolaCISL General Secretary, Theodore Lio, managing director of Accenture Italy, Maurizio Marchesini, Confindustria Vice President for Labour and Industrial Relations. 'Urban regeneration, mobility and housing' will be the theme around which will be discussed Gabriele Buia, President of the Unione Parmense degli Industriali, Massimiliano Di Silvestre, Chairman and Managing Director of BMW Italy, Vittoria Ferragamo, Sustainability and Special Projects Manager of Il Borro Toscana and Francesca Lavazza Board Member of Lavazza Group.
Industry' will be discussed Antonio Gozzi, Special Advisor of Confindustria with responsibility for European Strategic Autonomy, Mattei Plan and Competitiveness, Costanza Maramotti, Board & Sustainability Committee for Max Mara, Lara Ponti, Confindustria Vice President for Environmental Transition and ESG Goals, Mario Zanetti Delegate of the President of Confindustria for the maritime economy.
To give their contribution around the theme 'Finance', Paola Angeletti Chief Sustainability Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo, John Azzone, President of the Cariplo Foundation and ACRI, Angelo Camilli, Confindustria Vice President for Credit, Finance and Taxation, Giovanni Gorno Tempini, President of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Antonio PatuelliPresident of the Italian Banking Association.
The 'Innovation' focus will speak Sergio Abrignani, Full Professor of General Pathology, University of Milan, Tommaso CalarcoProfessor of Quantum Computing at the University of Bologna, Francesco De Santis Confindustria Vice President for Research and Development, Giovanni Fassio, Director of The New York Climate Exchange, Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, and Antonio ZoccoliPresident of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics.
'Africa and Italy's contribution' will be the theme of the concluding panel that will open with the introductory speech by Juma Mukhwana, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Republic of Kenya, to be followed by speeches by Frank Five, General Manager of E4Impact Foundation, Chido Munyati, Head of Regional Agenda, Africa, World Economic Forum and Federico Vecchioni Managing Director of BF International.
E4Impact will award the Gian Marco Moratti Award 2025, now in its sixth year, to those African companies that, through innovative models and concrete solutions, make a measurable contribution to achieving one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
