Rome, 20 February 2026 - Confindustria and CGIL, CISL and UIL have jointly decided to support a solidarity effort towards the population, workers and the production system affected by the Cyclone Harry disaster.

To this end, a “Solidarity Fund” has been set up, where voluntary contributions from workers equal to one hour's work and an equivalent contribution from companies will be collected. The fund is open to all citizens who wish to participate.

Contributions will be collected through the current account with IBAN code IT55U0103003201000002937018, activated at Monte dei Paschi di Siena and made out to CONFINDUSTRIA CGIL CISL UIL EMERGENCY CYCLONE HARRY, inserting “Emergenza Calabria Sardegna Sicilia” as the reason for payment.

The current account will not form part of the assets of any of the signatory organisations and will not appear in their accounts.

Confindustria, CGIL, CISL and UIL will determine together how to intervene to support the affected populations and companies, ensuring that the funds reach the recipients as quickly and transparently as possible.

Fundraising will be open until 31 August 2026.
