Rome, 4 June 2025 - 'We appreciate that Minister Urso has devoted attention and analysis to Confindustria's 80 zero-cost simplification proposals. It is an important signal of interlocution and listening that must be valued. Of course, we believe that on several points there is still useful discussion to be done, to better clarify the merit of the proposals'. Emanuele Orsini, President of Confindustria, commented.

"In this context, a general reflection has to be made: considering the non-collection of sanctions as a 'burden on public finance' is not consistent with the spirit of simplifications, which are precisely aimed at reducing the risk of non-compliance. Penalties cannot be considered structurally as part of the revenue. Simplifying, in fact, means helping businesses to be in compliance, overcoming an approach that sees errors, even formal ones, as a way of making cash.

We are also fully aware that many of the proposals require inter-ministerial coordination. Precisely for this reason, our hope is that the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy will be at our side in promoting real coordination between the various ministries, eliminating resistance that risks blocking interventions that are useful to the production system.

Lastly, we reiterate Confindustria's full willingness to work together, in a constructive spirit and in the interest of the country, to arrive at concrete solutions, starting with the strengthening of tools such as development contracts, that will truly improve the lives of businesses and Italy's competitiveness'.
