Rome, 23 May 2024 - The private assembly of delegates, meeting in the Auditorium della Tecnica in Viale dell'Astronomia, voted Emanuele Orsini as the 32nd President of Confindustria for the four-year period 2024-2028.
The assembly recorded a record attendance of 98% of those eligible to vote and a voter turnout of 99.5%.
At the same time, the assembly voted for the presidential team made up of ten elected vice-presidents - Lucia Aleotti (Research Centre), Angelo Camilli (Credit, Finance and Taxation), Barbara Cimmino (Export and Investment Attraction), Francesco De Santis (Research and Development), Maurizio Marchesini (Labour and Industrial Relations), Vincenzo Marinese (Organisation and Relations with Territories and Categories), Natale Mazzuca (Strategic Policies for the Development of Southern Italy), Marco Nocivelli (Industrial Policies and Made in Italy), Stefan Pan (European Union and Relations with European Confindustries), Lara Ponti (Environmental Transition and ESG Objectives) - and three ex officio Vice Presidents, Giovanni Baroni (President of Piccola Industria), Riccardo Di Stefano (President of Young Entrepreneurs) and Annalisa Sassi (President of the Council of Regional Representations).
The five Delegates of the President, already appointed at the presentation of the new top team - Leopoldo Destro (Transport, Logistics and Tourism Industry), Riccardo Di Stefano (Education and Open Innovation), Giorgio Marsiaj (Space Economy), Aurelio Regina (Energy), Mario Zanetti (Maritime Economy) - were joined today by Pietro Labriola, who will follow the Digital Transition.
The three Special Advisors complete the top team: Antonio Gozzi (European Strategic Autonomy, Mattei Plan and Competitiveness), Gianfelice Rocca (Life Sciences) and Alberto Tripi (Artificial Intelligence).
Maurizio Tarquini will take over as Director General from today, while Raffaele Langella, to whom President Orsini addressed heartfelt thanks for his work, will remain Diplomatic Advisor.
