Barbara Cimmino, Vice President for Export and Investment Attraction of Confindustria, and Annalisa Sassi, President of the Regional Representatives Council of Confindustria, will participate in the third edition of Selecting Italy, in programme in Trieste on 4 and 5 November 2025.
The event confirms itself as a reference point for the promotion of foreign investment attraction and for the development of regional value chains.
During the morning of 5 November will be signed the Operational lines of collaboration between Confindustria and the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provincesdefining common working areas and tools for theattraction and consolidation of foreign investments in Italy.
This will be followed by a round table with senior figures from foreign-controlled companies belonging to theAdvisory Board Foreign Investors (ABIE) of Confindustria.

Selecting Italy 2025: Confindustria partners in the event dedicated to investment attraction in Trieste
The initiative is organised by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces and the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Regionwith the collaboration of Confindustriawhich contributes to defining the content and enhancing the dialogue between companies, institutions and territories.
The aim of the event is to strengthen Italy's role as a strategic destination for growth, innovation and industrial competitivenessfostering synergies between the national production system and international investors.
Among the institutional interventions are planned:
- Massimiliano Fedriga, President of the Conference of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces;
- the ministers Giancarlo Giorgetti (Economy and Finance), Antonio Tajani (Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), Paolo Zangrillo (Public Administration);
- the Deputy Minister Valentino Valentini (Business and Made in Italy).
For Confindustria speakers will be Barbara Cimmino, Vice President for Export and Investment Attractionwhich will bring the vision of companies on strategies to make Italy more attractive, and Annalisa Sassi, President of the Regional Representatives Council of Confindustriawhich will illustrate the point of view of the territories and the role of regional policies to make them more competitive.
With its format combining conferences, networking and marketplace, Selecting Italy confirms itself as a meeting point between Regions, businesses and international investorsand fostering the exchange of good practices and the construction of new development opportunities.
