In an increasingly fragmented and competitive world, it becomes essential for Italian companies to know where to direct their commercial efforts e how to strengthen one's presence in foreign markets. From this need comes ExPAnDan advanced tool that supports companies, associations and institutions in identifying the countries and sectors with the greatest potential for Made in Italy exports.
Fruit of a research project developed by Confindustria together with the Manlio Masi Foundation, coordinated by Professor Beniamino Quintieri and realised with Enrico MarvasiExPAnD has been designed to respond concretely to the new challenges in international trade.
What ExPAnD allows you to do
Through a flexible system based on selected quantitative indicators, ExPAnD makes it possible to
-
-
estimate the export growth potential by product and country;
-
identify expanding markets and more favourable sectors;
-
compare Italian performance with that of its main competitors;
-
highlight areas of excellence and possible room for improvement.
-
The analytical model is based on comparisons with countries similar to Italy, using key variables such as market share, level of specialisation, average prices, variety of supply, income per capita and geographical distance. In this way, ExPAnD returns results adaptable to different production sectors and regional contexts.
An 83 billion euro opportunity
According to our estimates, Italy has a additional export potential of approximately 83 billion eurowhich could enable the country to reach the government's ambitious target of the 700 billion in exports in the coming years. ExPAnD represents a strategic ally to bridge this gaphelping companies and decision-makers to seize the most promising opportunities with greater precision.
Building a system for international success
Today, more than ever, it is essential building a shared vision between companies and institutions. Only through structured collaboration is it possible to overcome barriers to expansion and strengthen the global competitiveness of Made in Italy. ExPAnD fits into this system logic, offering a concrete, customisable and ready-to-use tool.
The realisation of ExpAnD was possible thanks to the collaboration with SalesForce e The Information Labtechnology partners who helped turn a research project into an innovative digital platform at the service of Italian exports.
