A project to survey the state of ultra-fast networks in productive territories and represent the real needs of companies to the institutions

Confindustria initiated a project of Mapping ultra-fast connectivity in Italian industrial areas, with the aim of collecting up-to-date and concrete data on the state of fixed and mobile networks in productive territories.

This is an initiative that stems from the need to fill a significant information gap: today, in fact, the available data mainly describe the infrastructure offer, while mapping has the aim to return a snapshot based on the direct experience of companies.

A “demand-side” survey to guide investments

The project makes it possible to collect timely information on the connectivity performance in industrial areas, by associating the data with the real needs of companies. The results, processed in aggregate form and respecting privacy, will help to direct targeted infrastructure interventions and strengthen the dialogue with institutions on the issues of digitalisation and competitiveness of the production system.

Participates in industrial connectivity mapping

Data collection takes place through a chatbot of Confindustria accessible via WhatsApp, which allows you to answer a few simple questions directly from your plant or production unit. It only takes a few minutes to contribute to the construction of an accurate and up-to-date mapping.
