Draft Code of Conduct for the activities of telemarketing e telesellingclosure of the editorial work and transmission of the text to the Privacy Guarantor for final approval
Last July, in order to support operators carrying out telemarketing and teleselling in the application of the rules on the processing of personal data, Confindustria and some Associations representative of principals, call centre, teleseller, list provider and consumer associations promoted a Draft Code of Conduct for the activities of telemarketing e teleselling and launched a public consultation to obtain comments and proposals from interested parties.
The consultation resulted in the collection of 24 contributions, containing a total of over 90 specific proposalsseveral of which have been incorporated into the text of the Draft Code of Conduct. The line taken in revising the Draft Code of Conduct was not to disrupt its structure and objectives and to make corrections to clarify, coordinate and balance its scope and application.
The 10 Novemberthe promoting Associations submitted the Draft Code of Conduct, in the version updated with the amendments post consultation, to the Data Protection Authority for thefinal approval. Attached is the text of the Draft Code of Conduct sent to the Authority and an extract from the accompanying Report.
