Giampaolo Galli

Born in Milan on 13 March 1951, he graduated with honours in Political Economics from Milan's Bocconi University in 1975.

He received his Ph.D. in Economics in 1980 from MIT (Cambridge, Ma.), where he did research with Franco Modigliani and Robert Solow on risk theory and financial systems. In 1979, he did research at the International Monetary Fund, Washington.

Between 1980 and 1992 at the Study Service of the Bank of Italy, he worked on the money market, econometric research and economic forecasting. From 1992 to 1995, as head of the International Department of the Study Service, he worked on international monetary relations, within the Sme and with other major areas, and represented the Bank of Italy in various international bodies, including: European Union Monetary Committee, OECD Economic Policy Committee, G10 Committee of Substitutes.

From March 1995 to February 2003 he was Chief Economist of Confindustria.

From March 2003 to January 2009, he was Director General of ANIA, the National Association of Insurance Companies.

Between 1995 and 2003, he was: a member of the National Institute of Economic Research (London); an advisor to the Committee on Monetary and Financial Affairs of the European Parliament on European monetary policy issues; a member of the Emu Monitor in Frankfurt (with P. Artus, E. Bomhoff, M. Neumann and J. Von Hagen); and a member of the Economic Advisory Group of the President of the European Commission.

He was a lecturer in Econometrics, Monetary Policy and Economic Policy at Bocconi University in Milan, La Sapienza University in Rome and Luiss-Guido Carli University.

He is the author of numerous articles in newspapers and scientific journals.

Marcella Panucci

She graduated in Law with honours in 1994 from the Luiss-Guido Carli University.

In 1999, he furthered his studies at the University College of London in the research programme 'The Role of Economics in EC Competition Law'.

In 2004 she obtained her PhD in "Discipline of Freedom of Competition" at the University of Perugia. From 2015 to 2018 she was an adjunct professor of "Comparative Corporate Governance" and since 2018 she has been an adjunct professor of "Public Law of Economics" at the Department of Law of the Luiss - Guido Carli University. 

His professional career at Confindustria began in 1995 and continued until 2011, interspersed with an experience at the European Commission's Competition Directorate-General in Brussels.

He has represented Confindustria in many national and international institutional fora, participating in committees and commissions set up by, among others, the Ministries of PA and Simplification, Economy and Finance, Justice, the Italian Stock Exchange, the OECD and BusinessEurope.

From November 2011 to July 2012, she was Head of the Technical Secretariat and Economic Advisor to Justice Minister Paola Severino.

She is the author of publications in the field of business law.

Francesca Mariotti

Since 17 July 2020 Director General of Confindustria, where, since 2014, he has also been Director of the Fiscal Policy Area.

Lawyer and auditor, she graduated in Law at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'. She completed her education by earning a Master's degree in Tax Law at the Scuola Superiore dell'Economia e delle Finanze 'E. Vanoni' and Istituto di Studi Economici e Giuridici. Over the years, he honed his managerial skills by attending the Senior Management Program at SDA Bocconi School of Management, as well as structured courses for the training of independent directors in listed companies, at Assogestioni and Nedcommunity.

He is a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of Borsa Italiana and the Committee for Market Operators and Investors (COMI) of CONSOB.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of I.W.S. S.p.A, he is a member of the Assembly of the Supplementary Healthcare Fund (FASI) and of the pension fund for industrial managers PREVINDAI.

He is also a Board Member of the Organismo Italiano di Contabilità (OIC) and a Board Member of the Giuseppina MAI Foundation.

From 2018 to 2021, she was an independent Director of Mediaset S.p.A. and a member of the Governance and Appointments Committee and the Remuneration Committee.

From 2018 to 2021, he served as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Istituto dell'Enciclopedia Italiana Giovanni Treccani and as a member of the Board of Statutory Auditors of companies in the General Electric Healthcare group.

During her career, she has gained important professional experience in the tax and accounting fields, which saw her work with KPMG and Federcasse from 2000 to 2007.

Since 2007, he has represented Confindustria in many institutional fora, both at national level, participating in commissions set up by the Ministries of Economy and Finance, Community Policies, Economic Development and OIC, and at international level, at the OECD and BusinessEurope. 
He has collaborated with some of Italy's most prestigious universities and with the National Council of Engineers on issues related to the 'Industry 4.0' plan; as well as with the National Council of Accountants and Bookkeepers on the definition of guidelines harmonising accounting recommendations with tax regulations.

He is a member of the scientific teaching committee that set up the 'Master in Real Estate Taxation' at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' and of the Advisory Board that established the 'Master in Tax Law Accounting and Tax Planning' at the LUISS Business School.

Member of WCD - Women Corporate Directors Foundation, the largest global organisation and community of women with roles on Boards of Directors and of Nedcommunity the Italian association of non-executive and independent directors.

She is the author of several articles and monographs on tax matters.

Raffaele Langella

He graduated in Economics at the Federico II University in Naples.

After an experience at the Italian Representation in Geneva (WTO), from 2002 to 2006 he served as First Secretary-Commercial Counsellor at the Italian Embassy in New Delhi; from 2009 to 2013 he was Counsellor-First Press Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Italy to the EU.

From 2013 to 2017, he worked in the Office of the Diplomatic Adviser at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (since 2015 as Deputy Diplomatic Adviser).

Maurizio Tarquini

Born in Rome in 1959.

After graduating in Statistical and Demographic Sciences, he obtained a PhD in Mathematical, Economic and Statistical Analysis of Social Phenomena from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza'.

In the following years, as an adjunct professor, he taught various disciplines at various universities, including: La Sapienza, Siena and Lecce. 

From 2001 to 2003, he was Deputy General Manager of Sole 24 Ore and Director of the Knowledge Area.

Between 2003 and 2006 he joined the Telecom Italia HR Board as Strategic Resource and Managing Director of Tils - a Group company. During the period he also held the positions of Managing Director of Luiss Management S.p.A. and Director of the Project Activities Area, Head of the Research Centres of Luiss Guido Carli University. During the period, he also held the position of President of Fondimpresa Lazio.

In 2007, he founded the company Piazza Copernico srl.

From 2008 to 2024 he was Director General of Unindustria, the Union of Industrialists and Enterprises of Rome, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti and Viterbo.

Between 2010 and 2017 he joined the Board of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Fondazione Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Board of Directors of ICC Italia - International Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of FASI - Fondo Assistenza Sanitaria Integrativa.
