Presentation of the CSC Report - Spring 2025
The Confindustria Centro Studi (CSC) invites you to the conference presenting the Forecast Report “Energy, Green Deal and Tariffs: Challenges for the Italian and European Economy“.
The event will be held on Wednesday 2 April at 10:00 at Rome Events Trevi FountainPiazza della Pilotta, 4.
The announcement of new duties by the US is creating instability in the global economy. Italy, whose second largest export market is the US, is particularly affected by this situation. Complicating the picture is a new rise in energy costs. Although the peaks of 2022 have not been reached, these price increases threaten the competitiveness of Italian companies. In this context, Europe is losing ground to the US, mainly due to a stagnation in productivity linked to insufficient investments.
The recent cut in interest rates in Europe and the US represents an opportunity for growth, which will stimulate consumption and investment, especially from the end of 2025. Industry will also benefit, despite the ongoing manufacturing crisis. However, Italian industry shows resilience, with positive indicators in terms of investments, employment and added value. Moreover, Italy stands out for its sustainability, thanks to low emissions intensity and efficient resource management.
