Italy and Foreign Enterprises: Innovating to Compete in the New Global Scenario

In a context of profound economic and geopolitical transformations, theAnnual Meeting of the Advisory Board Foreign Investors of Confindustria has established itself as the main forum for dialogue between foreign-controlled companies, institutions and economic stakeholders.

The 2025 edition will be dedicated to a strategic discussion on how to make Italy more competitive, attractive and integrated in global networks.

During the event, the VII Report of the Foreign Companies Observatory, entitled "Global Competitiveness, Local Innovation: The Role of Foreign Enterprises for Italy in the New International Scenario"..

The document offers an in-depth analysis of the contribution of foreign companies to the Italian economy, highlighting strengths in terms of exports, skilled employment, digitisation and innovation. At the same time, it identifies the critical areas where action is needed to improve the business environment.

The event programme includes a series of thematic panels with the participation of institutional representatives and top managers. These meetings will explore the role of foreign companies in Italy's transformation, the challenges of attracting and retaining investment, the encounter between international capital and Made in Italy excellence, and innovation promoted by foreign companies.
