Erasmus+: Call for Innovation Alliances 2026

On 12 November, the new Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026 by the European Commission.

Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. It represents a strategic tool for strengthen vocational training and promote the acquisition of skills required by the labour market, supporting the competitiveness of the production system.

Le Alliances for innovation fall under Key Action 2 and, more specifically, under “Innovation Partnerships”. Innovation Alliances aim to strengthen Europe's innovation capacity by promoting cooperation and knowledge flow between higher education, VET, research and the socio-economic world, and designing new curricula to reduce the mismatch between the skills required by the market and those offered by education.

The objectives of the Innovation Alliances can be achieved by submitting project proposals for one or both of the following lots:

  • Lot 1: Alliances for education and business;
  • Lot 2: Alliances for sectoral cooperation on skills.
  • Lot 3: STEM Skills Foundaries

The maximum grant that may be awarded to each project is as follows:

Lot 1 – Alliances for education and business:

  • €1 million (2-year project);
  • €1.5 million (3-year project).

Lot 2 – Alliances for sectoral cooperation on skills:

  • €4 million (4-year project).

Lot 3 – STEM Skills Foundaries:

1.5 million euros (2-year project).

The deadline is 10 March 2026, at 5 p.m.
