Technical and vocational education is, historically, a topic of utmost interest for Confindustria and has become especially so in the post-pandemic phase in which, according to Unioncamere-Anpal Excelsior data, the rate of difficulty in finding professional figures has drastically increased from a 26.4% in 2019 to a current 45.1%.
Technical-vocational education (technical institutes, vocational institutes and IeFP) represents a fundamental branch of our education system to contribute to the overall raising of the level of human capital in the country and, in particular, as a tool to counter the mismatch between supply and demand.
Confindustria believes that the contents of the measure are in continuation and coherence with a long path, which has led to the progressive recognition of the role of enterprises in the education system; a path that passed an initial milestone with the ITS Academy reform, voted by a large majority in the last Legislature.
Confindustria therefore considers the drafting of DdL 924 to be positive overall, both in terms of content and method.
