On 7 February 2023, theEuropean Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the proposed restriction REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals) on perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, referred to by the acronym PFAS.

On 22 March this year, a public consultation duration of six months, to which Confindustria participated together with all its sectors, producing a Position Paper.

With this document, in addition to representing the position of Confindustria on the proposed restriction, the following were collected a series of data on the national use/impact of PFAS, elaborating specific information for each sector potentially affected by the new regulation.
