Confindustria believes that the approach currently in force in the legal system strikes an appropriate balance between the protection of workers' health and safety and the freedom of economic initiative, preserving in any case collective bargaining autonomy, as well as the entrepreneurial organisational power connected to the exercise of business activity.

In Confindustria's view, therefore, the current regulatory framework, which safeguards the management autonomy of companies, must be preserved, enhancing the role of collective bargaining as an appropriate tool to identify the most suitable organisational structures with respect to the specificities of the individual company and to adopt, if necessary, appropriate flexible organisational choices in a shared manner.
