Confindustria takes the opportunity with this memorandum to point out the areas for improvement of the legislative framework regulating the entry of foreign workers into Italy for work. Our objective is to strengthen the dynamics underlying the Flows Decreeto facilitate a more effective matching of labour supply and demand, with reference to foreign nationals, in a context characterised by an increasingly serious labour shortage in the various sectors of our economy.
The issue of the difficulty in finding labour that plagues our companies must, in fact, be addressed with a strategic approachto which the Flussi Decree can effectively contribute, if it is articulated to address and concretely resolve the difficulties that companies encounter in managing the entry of foreign workers.
In this context, the recent changes introduced by the government with this measure represent for Confindustria a certainly a positive element. The text aims, in fact, at the administrative and bureaucratic simplification of a series of formalities related to entry for work and a reduction in the time taken by the relevant procedures, which translates, in essence, into a greater legal certainty.
