At the hearing, Confindustria reiterated the alarm about the rising energy costswhich put industrial recovery at risk and could further slow down the investment in process innovation needed to accelerate the energy transition.
She dwelt in particular on Article 8, which takes up her proposal for the launch of the structural decoupling of the price of renewable energy from that of fossil fuels fostering the development of liquidity in the secondary market of long-term contracts between energy producers and consumers with guarantee of last resort by the GSE.
Compared to the current text, action should be taken to strengthen and further enhance the role of the GSEwhich today only acts as a centralised purchaser of renewable energy from producers, by also entrusting it with the task of reselling the acquired long-term contracts on the market. This would ensure a More effective management of market risk related to the purchase of renewable energy.
