DL Aiuti quater contains a series of urgent measures on combating high bills, efficiency and security of supply and domestic natural gas production, as well as on superbonuses and means of payment.

The measures are, on the whole, agreeable, net of a few points, analysed at length in the memorandum, on which further reflection is needed. Positive, and in line with Confindustria's demands, are the measures to support companies to cope with high energy prices, albeit with a limited time horizon, and those concerning gas release in favour of national gas production.

Even in the light of the measures drawn up by the government for the budget manoeuvre, the chapter devoted to work and income support for businesses and households appears to be lacking, and would need more incisive and structural measures.
