Confindustria, although appreciating overall most of the proposals contained in the measure, even though it hoped for a broader reforming design, it considered it appropriate, on the one hand, to make some critical remarks aimed at improving the content of the rules, and on the other hand, to take the opportunity to propose some interventions to simplify and rationalise existing institutions, such as:

(a) the seasonalityto resolve a serious regulatory uncertainty affecting important production sectors, such as tourism and food;

(b) the telematic conciliationsto make trade union assistance for workers more agile and effective;

(c) the amendment of thedual apprenticeshipto bring the worlds of work and school closer together.

Confindustria finally proposed to the Chamber's Labour Commission some broader reflection on the need for transitions to be accompanied by the right instruments, in order to cope with the significant employment impacts that will ensue and with regard to economic treatment. On this issue, the solution is not to set a threshold for the minimum wagebut to intervene with measures that allow collective bargaining, on the one hand, and Parliament on the other, to build a regulatory system that leaves companies' energies free.
