The circular economy is one of the major drivers of industrial policy and sustainability, as it contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of production sectors, consolidating their strategic independence and, at the same time, generating positive effects on the environment.
An effective and complete transition to this economic model requires a clear regulatory framework, targeted incentives and significant investment in innovation and infrastructure.
The second Circular Economy Report by Confindustria analyses these issues, proposing strategic solutions for the industrial sector, with a focus on environment, energy, transport, logistics, infrastructure and public procurement.
The paper also explores the economic, social and environmental impact of the circular model, identifying challenges and opportunities related to its implementation, and includes proposals for industrial policies to guide the new European regulatory framework.
