In the first part of the hearing, Confindustria highlighted the risks and challenges that the current economic scenario poses for Italian companiesdue, among other things, to the continuing slowdown in industrial production and uncertainties related to European regulations on the future of key areas of our economy.

We then indicated the need for a more incisive and courageous manoeuvre, with a vision of industrial policy and a decisive impulse on investments, integrating measures in favour of investment and competitiveness, which are largely absent today, and introducing a bonus tax on the profits of companies that make qualified investments, also with a view to revitalising the country's attractiveness.

Lastly, Confindustria highlighted a number of critical remarks on a number of provisions included in the text, including those providing for the presence of MEF representatives in the corporate bodies of entities receiving public subsidies, those relating to the cut in the automotive fund, the unilateral shift in the allocation of revenues in the pharmaceutical sector, the removal of turnover limits for the application of the tax on digital services, and the cut in the deductibility of certain expenses for taxpayers with incomes above EUR 75,000.
