Rome, 4 April 2024 – The General Council of Confindustria appointed Emanuele Orsini as President with 147 votes. 173 of the 187 eligible voters cast their ballots. There were 17 invalid ballots and 9 blank ballots. The result was validated by the Special Committee composed of Sergio Arcioni, Domenico Barberio, Luca Businaro, and Marta Spinelli.

The appointment must be approved by the Assembly of Delegates, convened on 23 May, which will effectively elect the 32nd president of Confindustria.

On 18 April, the General Council will have to decide on the programme and the team of vice-presidents chosen by the president-designate.
