FOREIGN INVESTMENTS: CONFINDUSTRIA - LUISS AGREEMENT FOR THE FOREIGN COMPANIES OBSERVATORY STRENGTHENED
Focus on supply chains, training, regulatory simplification and communication. Annual Meeting on 7 May
Rome, 29 January 2025 - The collaboration between Confindustria's Advisory Board for Foreign Investors and Luiss is strengthened to enhance the activities of theForeign Companies Observatorya national reference point for the analysis and collection of data on foreign-controlled enterprises in Italy.
The agreement, signed today by Barbara Cimmino, Vice President for Export and Investment Attraction of Confindustria, and Rita Carisano, Luiss Director General, will enable the Observatory to expand its activities, strengthening its role in applied research and policy making on foreign investments. The new initiatives will deepen production chains, training and regulatory simplificationenhancing the strategic contribution of foreign capitalised companies to the Italian economy.
These realities generate the 10% of employmentwith an increase of almost 315 thousand jobs in the period 2018-2022, and are characterised by a focus on training, skills development, corporate welfare and competitive remuneration.
To analyse their role in the economic system, the 7 May Luiss will host the Third Annual Meeting of the Advisory Board for Foreign Investors (ABIE) of Confindustria. The event will delve into the impact of these companies on growth, innovation, exports, sustainability and employee welfare.
