The Check-Up Mezzogiorno 2024, the analysis on the health of the southern economy carried out annually by Confindustria and SRM, shows a rather uneven economic picture between the different variables under analysis and in the use of policy instruments.

The picture is varied because the variables that make up the synthetic index show diversified trends: the number of companies and exports appear to be declining in the last year while other indicators are growing or tended to be stable compared to 2023; all, in addition, exceed the value in 2019 bridging the loss related to the events of recent yearsincluding export.
