Maria Anghileri
Vice President and President of Young Entrepreneurs

Maria Anghileri was born in Lecco in 1987.

The second generation with his brother Giacomino of the family business, he is Chief Operating Officer of the Eusider Group, one of the most important players in the Italian steel market with 900 employees and 1.5 million tonnes of steel processed per year.

After graduating from classical high school at Liceo Manzoni in Lecco, he graduated in Law at Bocconi University with honours, and then qualified as a lawyer at the Court of Appeal in Milan. He attended the executive education Owner President Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston in 2023. He completed his education with a course at Columbia University and an internship at International Idea, an intergovernmental organisation and permanent observer at the United Nations in New York.

In 2016 he joined Eusider. The Group - entirely controlled by the Anghileri family - was founded in 1979 by his father, Cavaliere del Lavoro Eufrasio Anghileri, and his uncle Antonio. Eusider Group specialises in the transformation and processing of steel, operating through 18 branches located in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto, with a turnover of 1.1 billion and a strong propensity to exports amounting to around 35% of turnover.

She began her experience in Confindustria in 2015. In 2017 she was elected to the Presidential Council of Confindustria Lecco Sondrio, with responsibility for the Elite project, and in 2018 she was elected Vice President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Lecco Sondrio and Vice President of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Lombardia, with responsibility for the CircularEconomy project.

In July 2019, she was elected Vice President of the Assolombarda Young Entrepreneurs' Group, with a delegation for the National Council and business development and for the G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance - G20YEA project. As part of this delegation, she participated in the G20YEA in Argentina in 2018 and in Japan in 2019.

From 2020 to 2024 Maria held the position of National Vice President of Giovani Imprenditori Confindustria (Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria), with responsibility for enterprise culture and industrial policies.
