Agreement with the CONI hospitality house during the Winter Games. Companies will participate in the international representation of the country and in the telling of their contribution to development.

On the occasion of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Confindustria signed a partnership with Casa Italia, the official hospitality house run by the CONI which hosts meetings and initiatives with institutions, athletes, businesses and international stakeholders during the Games

The agreement links the sports programme with the presence of the Italian production system, with the aim of strengthening the international projection of industrial excellence and its role in economic development.

Casa Italia and the story of the country during the Games

Casa Italia is the space through which Italy presents itself to the international public. It welcomes delegations, organises meetings and proposes contents that recall cultural identity, design and production capacity. For the Milan-Cortina 2026 edition, the project is developed around the theme “Muse”, a reference to the Italian cultural tradition and the link between artistic expression and sport.

The activities are distributed between Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Livignowith the Milan Triennaleor as a central point and the other locations involved in the reception and communication programme.

At each venue there will be initiatives for guests, media and visitors, together with exhibition moments dedicated to Italian creativity and manufacturing.

The dialogue between sport and the production system

The collaboration stems from a closeness of approach between sport and industry, both oriented towards the quality of the result, the ability to innovate and rootedness in the territories. The presence of Confindustria within Casa Italia inserts the tale of Italian enterprise in the international setting of the Games, highlighting the link between major events and economic dynamics.

Comparison of the sport and mountain economy

The collaboration was first realised in the initiative promoted by Confindustria on 17 February at the Milan Triennale, dedicated to the theme “Milan Cortina 2026: the economy of sport and the mountains”, an opportunity to present the new number of Journal of Economic Policy realised in cooperation with the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale.

The meeting offered an opportunity for analysis and discussion on the economic, territorial and social impact of major sporting events, with particular attention to the role of the sport as a driver of development, opportunities for mountain territories and the contribution of the production and financial system.
