Thursday, 26 February 2026, from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at Confindustria Viale dell'Astronomia 30, Rome, will host the event CRITICAL RAW MATERIALS AND RESILIENCE OF SUPPLY CHAINS - Project presentation PRIN-PNRR CASCADE (Criticality Analysis for Supply Chain Availability and Dependency Evaluation).
The meeting will be an opportunity to illustrate the main outcomes of the research dedicated to the analysis of company evaluations and supply risk management strategies related to four critical raw materials: Aluminium, Copper, Titanium and Rare Earths.
Through a multi-level analysis, the project analyses the expected criticality of supplies, their impacts on Italian industrial supply chains and possible mitigation strategies, with a focus on constraints to their implementation.
CASCADE is a research project funded by the Ministry of University and Research (PRIN-PNRR call).
The project was carried out by Re4It (inter-university group Politecnico di Milano, University of Bergamo, University of L'Aquila, University of Bologna) in collaboration with the Centro Studi Confindustria (CSC).
The event is intended as a moment of confrontation between research and the production system on the topics of security of supply, resilience of value chains and technological and market perspectives related to critical raw materials.
