Confindustria participated in the parliamentary hearing on the proposed amendments to Consolidation Act 151/2001, expressing its position on maternity, paternity and parental leave.

While agreeing with the objective of supporting parenthood, Confindustria recalled the need to avoid overly burdensome measures for companies, such as the compulsory extension of paternity leave, and proposed targeted measures to promote equity between the public and private sectors, the return of mothers to work and a more rational regulation of substitute contracts and family leave.
