Rome, 25 October 2025 - “It is good news that the ministerial decree on the Energy Release has been accepted for registration by the Court of Auditors,” says Aurelio Regina, delegate of the President of Confindustria for Energy. “It is now crucial to publish the operating rules and contracts now, to enable the instrument to be launched by December and to contain energy costs, which are still higher than the European average.
According to Regina, on the implementation of the measure “the survival of many companies in strategic supply chains depends, from automotive components to chemicals, from foodstuffs to textiles, to the circular economy”.
Finally, the Confindustria delegate also emphasises the need to quickly utilise the EUR 600 million TESI fund for the compensation of indirect ETS costs by 2025, “to support the industrial sectors most exposed to the risk of delocalisation, as other European countries have already done”.
