La Giuseppina Mai Foundationin collaboration with Bracco Foundation, STEAMiamoci-Assolombarda, Space Work Srl e con il supporto di Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. e Fondimpresa, launched the third edition of the 'Women in STEM' call for proposals, aimed at female students enrolled in the first year of a master's degree programme in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for the academic year 2024/2025.
The initiative stems from the realisation that, although women represent a majority among new university entrants in Italy, it is still smaller than the majority of men. Supporting female students in these areas means not only promoting gender equality, but also investing in the future of innovation and research.
STEM disciplines today represent strategic areas for the country's development, with a high demand for specialised skills; however, female participation in these fields still remains limited.
What the notice provides
The call makes available dieci borse di studio, each worth EUR 3,000 (gross), for the most deserving female students enrolled in the first year of a STEM degree course in the 2024/2025 academic year.
How to apply
The application must be submitted exclusively online by 14 September 2025, by filling in the form available at this link.
