Diana Bracco

President and Chief Executive Officer, Bracco Group

Diana Bracco was born in Milan and holds a degree in Chemistry from Pavia University, which also awarded her an honorary degree in Pharmacy in 2001. In 2004 the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome awarded her an honorary degree in Medicine. In 2023 the University of Messina awarded her an honorary PhD degree in Applied Biology and Experimental Medicine.

She is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bracco, a healthcare multinational Group founded in 1927, and of Centro Diagnostico Italiano, a full-service polyclinic. She is also Chairman of the Bracco Foundation. Under her guidance the Bracco Group has acquired a leading position in the diagnostic imaging at a global level.

Today the Company has revenues of around 1,8 billion euros, of which 88% from international sales, and 3,700 employees. In the Research and Development area, the company invests approximately 10% of reference turnover in the imaging diagnostics and medical devices sectors and has a portfolio comprising over 2,600 patents.

Diana Bracco is currently member of the Board of Directors and General Council of Confindustria as well of several Boards including the Board of Bocconi University and the Board of Accademia Teatro alla Scala.

She is Knight of Labor and has held many positions in the institutional and associative community: she was the first woman to be elected President of Federchimica and Assolombarda, the Lombard Entrepreneurial Association; she was Vice President for Research and Innovation in Confindustria; Vice President of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, President of the Sodalitas Foundation, President of the National Life Sciences Cluster - ALISEI and B20 Women Empowerment Ambassador.

She was also President of Expo 2015 SpA and Commissioner General of Section for the Italy Pavilion at the Expo Milan 2015.
