Masakazu Tokura was born in Hyogo in 1950. He graduated from Faculty of Economics, the University of Tokyo, and joined Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. in 1974. He was assigned to Sumitomo Chemical Europe S.A./N.V. in 1994. He became Executive Officer, General Manager of Corporate Planning & Coordination Office in 2003, appointed Representative Director and Managing Executive Officer in 2008, Senior Managing Executive Officer in 2009 and became President in 2011. Since 2019, he serves as Chairman of the Board. He was appointed Chairman of KEIDANREN in June 2021.
