In the following years, he was responsible for relations with the European Parliament and for policies relating to the internal market, with particular reference to the free movement of goods and services, intellectual property, public procurement and standardisation, as well as organising seminars on European affairs and visits by the Confindustria System to Brussels. In 2018, he became Director of the Delegation to the EU.
