According to the results of the quick survey on industrial production,<strong> 45.6% of respondents expect stable production<\/strong>. Compared to the previous month, the share of those who expect <strong>an increase (45.6% from 50.3%)<\/strong>. Finally, the <strong>quota<\/strong> of those expecting a decrease is\u2019<strong>8,8%<\/strong> (Chart 1).<\/li>\n<li>The balances of the answers, relating to the main factors that will support or restrain production in the coming months, indicate a general worsening. In particular with regard to <strong>production costs and availability of materials.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23891 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2026\/03\/31095652\/indagine-marzo1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"625\" height=\"618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2026\/03\/31095652\/indagine-marzo1.png 625w, https:\/\/public.confindustria.it\/repository\/2026\/03\/31095652\/indagine-marzo1-480x475.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 625px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Industrialists regard demand and orders as the main factors supporting production.<\/li>\n<li>Ratings on the<strong> availability of labour<\/strong> and expectations on <strong>financial conditions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In the March questionnaire, industrialists were asked about the main problems or obstacles arising from the conflict in <strong>Middle East<\/strong>, both with regard to the critical issues already encountered and those expected should the conflict continue for more than a month. The results show that the three main tension factors are<strong> the cost of energy<\/strong>, currently the most relevant for the <strong>25,0%<\/strong> of the respondents to the question,<strong> transport and\/or insurance costs (21.9%) and the cost of raw materials<\/strong> non-energy <strong>(18,4%)<\/strong>. The latter is indicated as the main cause for concern should the conflict continue beyond one month from the<strong> 20,7%<\/strong> of the companies that responded to the question.
